Our Pastor

About Kevin and Leslie Hausman

Pastor Kevin was born in South Dakota.  At the age of 5 his family moved to Denver where he grew up. He repented and trusted the Lord as his savior after graduating from high school. He attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and received a BA degree in musical education. For 24 years he taught elementary music in Holly, Lamar, and Yampa, Colorado. The Lord called him into the ministry while he was attending the Village Missions church in Yampa, Colorado. He then attended classes, mostly on-line, through Trinity Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. Pastor Kevin is just shy of receiving his Masters in Biblical Studies.   Next he pastored at the Village Missions church in Vernango, Nebraska for 7 years followed by Christ Community Church in Roggen, Colorado for the past 3 years.

Leslie was born in Kansas and graduated from high school in Eaton, Colorado. She trusted the Lord as her savior while attending high school.  After graduating she worked at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je in Bailey, Colorado for several summers before working there as a full-time staff member for several years. She then attended Pikes Peak Community College and received her Associate Degree. Besides raising twelve kids, Leslie was an EMT and served on the ambulance team in Oak Creek (Yampa) and while she and Kevin lived in Nebraska.

Kevin and Leslie met in 1978 while they both working at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je and married in 1981. When it became apparent that they were not able to have birth children, they began providing foster care and have since adopted twelve children ranging from age 12 to 39.  They currently have a total of eight grandchildren.
